What We Do

Stop the Leak and Protect the Structure

A crack is the most common way water gets into a basement. We fix it at the source — and we're honest about whether it's a simple seal or something that needs more.

Crack Injection

Non-structural cracks in poured walls get injected with polyurethane or epoxy that fills the crack full-depth and seals it against water.

Exterior Waterproofing

When a crack needs more than a seal, we excavate down the outside of the wall, repair it and apply a waterproof membrane so water stays out for good.

Block & Poured Foundations

We work on both poured-concrete and concrete-block foundations, matching the repair method to how your wall is built.

Structural vs. Cosmetic

We tell you straight whether a crack is a simple moisture issue or a sign of movement that needs a structural approach, with no scare tactics. If it’s more than a crack, we’ll tell you when you need an engineer.

Crack Injection

Epoxy vs Polyurethane Crack Injection

Both are pumped in through ports along the crack, and both fill the full depth of the wall. The difference is what they do once they’re in there: polyurethane seals, epoxy welds.

For most basement crack repair on a leaking poured wall, polyurethane is the straight answer. Cracked block walls and cracks that keep moving are a different job, covered on our foundation repair page.

  • Polyurethane seals the leakIt reacts with water and expands into a flexible foam that fills the crack. It won’t add strength back, but it flexes with the small seasonal movement every foundation has, so it’s the go-to for a crack that’s actively leaking.
  • Epoxy welds the crackIt cures hard and bonds both sides of the crack back into one solid piece. It’s the pick when a crack needs its strength back, not just a seal, and it needs a dry, stable crack to bond.
Common Questions

Foundation Crack Repair FAQ

Quick answers about foundation cracks and leaks in Paris, Brantford and across SW Ontario. Wondering what it costs, or whether your crack is even serious? Read our foundation crack repair cost guide. For an active leak, read how to fix a leak in a basement wall.

Are foundation cracks serious?

Most aren’t, but some are. Many are simple shrinkage cracks that only need sealing to stop water. Wide, stair-stepped or bowing cracks point to movement and need a structural approach, and we’ll tell you when that means calling an engineer. We assess it honestly and tell you which one you have.

When should I be concerned about cracks in my basement floor?

When water comes through, the crack keeps widening, or one side sits higher than the other. Thin shrinkage cracks in a basement floor are common and usually harmless. Water seeping up through the floor points to pressure under the slab, which drainage handles better than a sealant. A floor that’s heaving or sinking is a different story, and we’ll tell you when you need an engineer.

What's the difference between crack injection and exterior waterproofing?

Injection fills a crack from the inside with polyurethane or epoxy to seal it against water — quick and cost-effective for non-structural cracks in poured walls. Exterior waterproofing means excavating the outside of the wall, repairing it and applying a membrane. We recommend the right one for your situation.

How much does foundation crack repair cost?

In Ontario, a single leaking crack injected from inside typically runs $500 to $1,500. Exterior excavation and waterproofing costs more because of the digging. Every quote is free and itemized in writing, so call (519) 802-2138 for a no-obligation assessment.

Do you repair both poured and block foundations?

Yes. We work on poured-concrete and concrete-block foundations and match the repair method to how your wall is built and where the water is coming in.

Do you back the repair with a warranty?

Yes. Every repair we complete is backed by a written warranty for your peace of mind.

My basement leaks but I don’t see a crack — can you help?

Often. Water can enter through the cove joint, block voids or below grade where you can’t see it. We trace the source and recommend the right fix, and our basement and foundation waterproofing page has the full picture.
